Explanation

I have been asked a few times in the last couple days why I am working on this project.  Its hard to explain, but Ill do my best.

First, I started playing tennis this summer to work on getting in shape. I had in the past enjoyed hitting balls. Was not much of a tennis player really but in college I hit with some friends. I thought it was fun.

After playing for a few months I heard about the InnerCity Tennis Kidspeed progam on Saturdays at the RSFTC. I was so impressed with the program (and taking our kids to the program) that I started volunteering to be a coach for these events.

The bulk of the volunteers are seniors.

What has made the largest impact for me is you can start playing tennis at 5 years old, and continue to play (and be competitive) until you are 75 years old (or more). I can think of few, if any, sports that can be life long.  And thats my goal.

With that in mind, and the limited resources I could find for tennis, I started this site.  If you have suggestions, tips, links, advice, comments, etc, please let us know.
