Wilkinson, a USTA Northern Section hall of famer, has built a dynasty in his 37 years coaching the Gusties, who have won 18 consecutive Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships and 33 of the past 36 titles. His record at Gustavus is 325-1 in the MIAC and 885-253 overall. The Gusties finished third at the 2006 NCAA Division III Championships and won the ITA Division III Indoor Championships. Several other Minnesotans were honored at the recent USPTA national convention in Las Vegas, including Susan Furtney of Apple Valley and Ric Yates of St. Paul, who were chosen Northern Section coaches of the year.
